Added and fixed: Series of suggestions.

The forum has officially opened its doors and there's still quite some work to do.
I doubt this is the first forum you've been a member, TheTubeScape, but I'd like to give you some suggestions anways which you could use to improve the forum even further.

1. Add a 'Suggestion Zone' category:
This category could either be used for suggestions to improve the forum itself or to give some other suggestions, like Competition ideas.
So you can keep in touch and take (good) ideas into consideration.

2. Add a 'Video Zone' category:
This category would be dedicated entirely to videos (obviously).
Videos which should definitely be watched, the "hottest" video maker of the very moment.

Sub-categories such as "Competitions" and "Video ideas" would be a good additions too.

3. Add a chatbox:
As soon as this forum gets popular enough, which would be when some important video makers join, forum members would like the opportunity of chatting with their video making heroes/heroines.
Of course, this chat would require someone responsible to maintain the order in there.
So that people like spammers or people advertising for inappropriate sites don't get a single chance.

4. Adjust the Forum Ranks a bit:
Forum Ranks are cool.
But instead of leaving 1000 posts in between the second and the third rank, I'd advise to make it 150 posts.
And for each rank, this amount will increase by 50 (or 100) posts, before you reach the next rank.

Let's not forget to adjust the names a bit too.
The order for the ranks could be: Newbie -> Jr. Member -> Member -> Sr. Member -> Elite.
But this is just an example, set the ranks as you see fit, TheTubeScape.

5. Change the forum lay-out:
I like spending time on the forum, checking replies, etc ...
But I get the feeling the forum lay-out is too ... Plain.

Could we possibly get a cooler lay-out?

If I come up with any other ideas, I'll edit this post.

Thank you for your suggesttions, if you look at the Forums on http://www.miny000000.tk/ you will see that I will add more but I only just started and I need to get used to the software.

I was thinking of renaming the ranks to:

New Member
Frequent Poster
Elite Poster

Not sure about the every 50 post things, but I might make 250, 500 and 750. *thinks of names*

I will add these forums soon, but my wrists are aching for so much typing lately, so maybe tomorrow since it's quite late here in the UK.

Watch this space for new additions.

EDIT: How about these:

0 - New Member
100 - Frequent Member
250 - Common Member
500 - Popular Member
750 - Grand Member
1000 - Elite Member

I've seen the 'Juniors' on other forums and don't really like them.

I'm not sure about the chatbox either, but if its on popular demand I will add it (perhaps on a different page?)

The other forum looks nice!
With a bit of adjustment, you could re-use it for this forum.

Unless you have some other plans with it.

Personally, I'd say to maintain just 1 community.
For 2 simple reasons, actually ... :

1. It'll be a lot of work getting the forum in two different languages cause of translations, etc ...
2. I, personally, think that some Dutch people really need to learn some freakin' English.
They're too lazy to do it or just too dumb to accept that English is a language is spoken worldwide.
There's no evading it. So why make an exception?

No one would administrate it as I only speak English (and a bit of some other languages)

i got a suggestion, how about u have a world that all members meet, every week/month, and u have a topic saying "meets" where only the admin, and high ranks can post dates.

Um, I'd try but I'm new to this forum host so I don't know exactly how to make one. (Googles)

Anyways, I think I'll see if I can get a Style Selector and add a few themes, and you can change it to your liking.
